The dark auror-based heal glowed black as it healed the wound.
He looked at Ainens and opened his mouth.
‘So you are indeed a master of the Divine Sword.’
Ainens replied with a blunt face.
‘You are – you are the first person to wield my divine sword to this extent.’
It was a compliment.
The power of the Divine Sword-it was a power no mere mortal could ever hope to wield.
The Dimension Sword, in particular, is almost impossible to parry, as its attacks come from completely unexpected places.
Jikril’s ability to dodge most of those attacks, and to fend off Orost Hell so completely, was enough to earn Ainens’ admiration.
But the battle is not over yet.
Jikril looked at Ainens and said.
‘I honestly don’t have the confidence to defeat you, but I can’t back down.’
‘If you don’t back down, all you have left is death.’
Ainens raised his Dimension Sword.
And as the auror exploded, Jikril smiled.
‘That might be so, but it is not—’
The laugh had an odd quality to it that made Ainens feel uneasy for a moment.
And when his gaze returned to Jikril, he saw that something lay in his hand.
A jet-black stone.
At first glance, it appeared to be nothing more than an ordinary stone, but upon closer inspection, he could see that it emanated a faint Dark Auror.
A stone that is black and emits Dark Auror.
There is only one such stone in the world.
Ainens’ eyes widened.
‘That can’t be— the Dark Stone?’
‘Ho-oh, you recognise it- this is the Dark Stone-’
Ainens’ eyes widened even wider at Jikril’s words.
‘The—-’
Ainens stammered – of course he would have such a reaction – Dark Stone!
The Dark Stone was a stone created in the Demon Realm and was used as a medium to summon demons.
The fact that Jikril took out the Dark Stone was an expression of his intention to summon a demon.
It was clear that he had already made a sacrifice to create the Blood Stone.
A blood stone is a stone made by hardening human blood.
The greater the number of people, the stronger the power of the blood stone, and the stronger the power, the stronger the demons that could be summoned.
‘No! Are you trying to summon a demon?’
Ainens said with an impatient complexion- ‘Demons!
‘Demons! This race of beings, whose physical and mental strength exceeds that of humans, is a higher life form compared to the dragons of Middle Earth.
They feed on the negative energy of humans, and their power is so great that humans are powerless to stop them.
When demons are summoned here, the odds are stacked against them.
Ainens, with his holy sword, can slay a demon, but I’m not sure he’ll be able to withstand an attack from Jikril.
Besides, if Jikril is so confident, he must be trying to summon a high-level demon.
This place is close to the Lebetan Plateau- if the summoned demon absorbed the dark souls in the Lebetan Plateau and led the monsters to the continent, the continent would become a sea of blood once again.
That must not be allowed to happen.
I gripped the Dimension Sword tightly- I must cut him down before Jikril summons the demons.
But as if sensing his thoughts in advance, Jikril’s new model floated up high and deployed another layer of Sage Shield.
He smiled and said to Ainens
‘Then watch the summoning of some demon before your eyes- hoo-hoo!’
Jikril smashed the Blood Stone and Dark Stone in his hands and scattered the powder into the air.
An intricate summoning circle was drawn in the air.
Jikril placed his hand on it and began to chant.
‘Children of darkness, darker than darkness- appear here now, and give the foolish a despair darker than darkness, and show them the flames of fury redder than red blood-’
Pow!
A black light began to shoot out in all directions-
The enormous amount of Dark Aurors rushing in with him!
Dark Aurors began to cascade down from the summoner’s body like a waterfall.
At the same time, a huge presence began to spread out in all directions.
‘Boom!’
Ainens swallowed a groan as he looked at the summoning circle drawn in the air.
He had indeed summoned a demon – judging by the presence, he had summoned a high ranking demon, one of the highest among the demons.
A high ranking demon – the only humans who had ever defeated a high ranking demon were the heroes of legend.
‘Do you think I can defeat it?
The power of demons had been instilled in her since she was a child.
A race that feeds on human despair, and is stronger than anything else.
And that race is about to appear before Ainens’ eyes.
‘Lord Ainens-’
And then El walked towards Ainens.
El looked at the magic circle drawn in the air and asked.
‘What is that?’
‘Demon summoning circle-’
Elle made a shocked expression.
‘What? Demon summoning, you mean a jin that summons demons?’
Ainens nodded more than answered- his mind was on the summoning circle now.
The summoner was now engulfed in a thick dark aura.
A presence that seemed to weigh down his entire body, making him feel as if something was about to happen at any moment.
Suddenly, a bolt of thunder crashed down from the sky.
A flash!
For a moment, the world seemed to glow with gold.
At the same time, the gold quickly disappeared, and the black Dark Auror’s summoning circle disappeared as well.
And—-
In their place stood a man.
A sharp-looking man with a lithe build, dressed entirely in black.
The man, who had the air of an absolute powerhouse, of a man who could pierce through an opponent at a moment’s notice, looked at Jikril with a slow gaze.
Jikril bowed, dropping to one knee in the air.
The words flowed from his mouth in astonishment.
‘It is an honour to meet you- could you teach me your honoured name?’
At Jikril’s question, the man stared at him for a moment, then opened his mouth- ‘My name is Beramund.
‘My name is Beramund- I am one of the Archdukes of the Demon Realm, servant of the Demon King of the Demon Realm-’
‘Archduke of the Demon Realm—!’
Ainens and Elle simultaneously exclaimed in astonishment- ‘Archduke of the Demon Realm!
The Grand Duke of the Demon Realm, then the next ranking demon of the Demon King has descended here!
The Blood Stone was made with the blood of 10,000 Hagiya, shouldn’t a demon of this level be summoned?
It’s too early to be alarmed.
Suddenly, a blue glow appeared on one side of the Golden Valley, and an enormous silhouette appeared in the Golden Valley.
A sleek red fuselage that was over 100 metres long.
It was the Red Dragon, one of the Dragon Clan, the most powerful creatures on earth.
The Red Dragon suddenly bared its sharp teeth and roared wildly.
KOOOOOOO!
A dragon peer that would make all life on earth fall to their knees!
‘Kooooooo!’
Elle groaned in agony as she actually experienced the Dragon Peer that she had only heard about in words-!
And after barely withstanding the Dragon Peer, he looked at the Red Dragon and the Demon Realm Archduke with a dazed gaze.
Both were beings he had only seen in his lifetime.
How could such beings be here—-
The summoning of a demon and the appearance of a dragon- it was no ordinary thing.
El felt so insignificant as he looked at the two beings who could imprison him like this just by their mere presence.
His dazed eyes came back into focus-.
Yes-.
If he was not to be at their mercy, he would have to cultivate his own power.
A power that will be second to none—-
Elle looked at the Archduke of the Demon Realm and the Red Dragon and began to rally her resolve.
I must become stronger – only then will I survive.
That’s what she felt, and that’s what she vowed to do.
