Ugh… Who on earth asked for the magic interference to be lifted?”

An elderly wizard paced around the teleportation gate installed within the palace, mumbling to himself.

The wizard’s name was Deylon, a venerable sage and a 6th-class magician, serving as the court magician in the Kingdom of Tollyan. He was originally a noble from Tollyan who had ventured into the Matab and honed his magical skills. At the earnest request of King Redolph, he had come out of the Matab and taken up the position of the court magician in Tollyan.

As the only 6th-class magician in the kingdom, he had poured all his efforts into nurturing the next generation.

Fortunately, there were talented individuals who could succeed him, allowing him to train future magicians.

But the problem was that it had been a very long time.

Deylon was now seventy years old. It was too late to expect further accomplishments, and it would take at least twenty years for a successor to emerge.

That was why Deylon, burdened with worries like a mountain, was now following King Redolph’s orders to lift the magic interference enchantment within the palace.

I wonder if that esteemed guest will come…

“I have no idea when that esteemed guest will arrive. Hmmm…”

At that moment, a sudden surge of mana flow was felt from within the palace.

Someone was casting magic. Normally, magic manifestation would be impossible due to the magic interference, but with it lifted, mana was flowing rapidly within the palace.

Deylon wasn’t one to miss the presence of mana.

For a moment, he sensed the mana, and then it began to intensify, causing his eyes to widen.

“Oh! This is…!”

His amazement was justified. The mana flow felt within the palace was indicative of a 7th-class magic being manifested.

An enormous amount of mana flow that he could never achieve! Such magic could only be 7th-class or higher.

No, it was more than that. The sudden surge of mana seemed to spin violently and then burst into a bright light.

Spat!

A bright white light burst forth, revealing a figure.

With eyes filled with longing, Deylon gazed upon the figure.

A 7th-class magician! It was a 7th-class magician, who seldom revealed themselves.

Hovering in mid-air, the person was none other than El.

Having teleported directly to Tollyan Palace, El smiled faintly.

“I arrived safely.”

As El shifted his gaze downward, he saw Deylon, who was looking at him with eyes filled with burning desire.

El gave a sly smile and spoke.

“Did you invite me here with the king’s consideration?”

Deylon’s expression was taken aback. No wonder, El’s appearance was so young that it momentarily startled Deylon. What he saw was a genuine 7th-class teleportation magic.

El being a 7th-class magician was beyond doubt, but his appearance was too young, leaving Deylon perplexed for a moment. No matter how young he looked, he couldn’t mimic the experience of living for many years. In that sense, El’s appearance was not magically altered but truly his own.

“Yes, yes.”

Amidst the mixed confusion, Deylon nodded in response, wearing a pleased expression at the sight of a 7th-class magician.

“Then, shall we proceed with the introduction? Your Majesty, please allow me to announce the esteemed guest.”

After finishing his conversation with Deylon, El turned to face the audience chamber.

Deylon bowed his head and stepped back.

“I will take my leave now. I hope you have a deep conversation with His Majesty.”

“Goodbye.”

As Deylon and El exchanged glances, the usher shouted out loud.

“Your Majesty! The invited guest has arrived.”

In response, a voice from inside the chamber was heard immediately. The fact that they were waiting was evident.

“Come in.”

“Yes, Your Majesty! Excuse me.”

As the door slid open with a whoosh, El entered the reception room.

There sat King Redolph, with a smile still on his face, looking at El.

El courteously greeted the king.

“Greetings, Your Majesty. It’s been three days since we last met.”

“Haha! Time seems to have stopped for those three days… It’s the first time my three days felt so long.”

King Redolph smiled warmly at El.

Already, King Redolph had set his mind on pulling El into the Kingdom of Tollyan. It wasn’t just about El’s achievements; it was his character and personality that deeply impressed the king.

In the midst of human relationships, one might not know each other even after spending years together, but sometimes, there are people who can immediately grasp a person’s character. King Redolph was one such person, and he had some idea of El’s temperament.

He didn’t seek El’s loyalty. He merely wished to gain his friendship, akin to being companions. Even as the powerful ruler of the Tollyan Kingdom, he didn’t consider himself worthy of embracing El. Even if he were the Emperor of a great Empire, he wondered if he could accommodate El. El was such an extraordinary individual.

King Redolph addressed El.

“I intended to treat you to a meal, but it seems it’s still too early. Shall we chat in the meantime?
