Chapter 2341

Callie could not help but bitterly smile when she recalled her situation upon entering the Starry Sky Battlespace. “I wouldn’t have taken the treasure map if I had known this was going to happen.”

She was quite lucky. After passing through Heart Path, she was transported directly to the outer area near the inner part of the Starry Sky Battlespace.

Perhaps luck was really on her side because shortly after setting out, she found the corpse of a disciple from the Burke clan who had entered during the last Starry Sky Battlespace opening, and obtained quite a few treasures from it.

Even more remarkably, she obtained a treasure map from the corpse’s spatial ring. Just when Callie thought she was having a stroke of good luck, she discovered that the spatial ring was programmed with a restriction that automatically transmitted information to the Burke Clan, and soon two disciples from the clan began to pursue her.

As the saintwoman of the Marvair Sect and complete-stage level three paragon, Callie’s power was by no means inferior to those prodigies. However, the pursuers were disciples of one of the Eight Great Clans of the Eastern Wilderness, each with formidable strength.

Thus, she had no choice but to discard all the treasures obtained from the corpse, keeping only the treasure map. She fought while retreating and trying to find a place to hide.

In the end, Callie could not shake off her two pursuers. She had considered seeking help, but others avoided her like they had seen a ghost when they saw the Burke disciples. After being intercepted, she found herself in a situation where she had no way out.

The struggling Callie felt the energy center within her body nearing depletion. To make matters worse, she had sustained severe injuries.

She glanced frantically at the fierce and evil-looking two pursuers, and bitterly thought, ‘I’m going to drag them down to hell with me if it’s the last thing I do before I die!’

Callie had already mentally prepared herself for self-destruction.

However, the next moment, a familiar voice sounded in her ears, leaving her stunned.

“Severin!”

Callie was overjoyed to see Severin suddenly appear. He was like a long-awaited rain during a drought.

However, the next moment she remembered something and urgently said to Severin, “Run! You’re no match for both of them!”

Callie knew very well how formidable the two Burke disciples before her were. Especially the one wielding a longsword. Despite being only a level three paragon, his combat power was comparable to a level four paragon, and no one could rival him in the way of the sword.

Although Callie knew Severin was strong, he was ultimately only a level three paragon. Not to mention, it would be two against one.

“Hehe. I see another fool has come to seek his death!” said Linden Burke-the more robust looking one-with a mocking grin at Severin. “Do you think you’re some kind of hero saving a damsel in distress? Well, why don’t you take a good look in the mirror first?”

Linden then threw a punch, unleashing a radiant fist energy. The surging power of blood and energy around him transformed into a roaring dragon phantom.

“Huh. Let’s see what you can do,” said Severin calmly.

With that said, Severin also raised his hand, and his True-Sun Fist slammed out with tremendous force.

In an instant, a surging momentum swept across the starry sky as the fist beam gleaming with unparalleled power crashed towards the two Burke disciples.

At the same time, a terrifying shockwave tore through the surrounding starry space, creating fissures in the void. The two Burke disciples were sent flying for hundreds of yards.

Hector and Linden narrowly dodged Severin’s deadly attack. Their faces were of shock and solemnness.

Hector, although confident in his power, found himself taking the situation seriously. Seeing that Severin and Callin knew each other, he realized that he might not be a match if the two of them joined forces. Especially considering Severin’s True-Sun Fist attack; it was evident that his power was formidable as well.
