While Joseph Bauer was scheming how to fan the flames harder…

The next day, Harvey York brought some breakfast to Flutwell People’s Hospital.

After passing through the hall and entering the elevator, he came to the inpatient department on the upper floor.

Safe to say that Harvey was quite familiar with the place.

Right when he came to the floor where Mandy Zimmer was, he frowned slightly.

A faint smell wafted in the air.

It did not smell like the typical fragrance but rather like a woody scent.

Harvey could smell it his entire way here. He could not help but stay cautious because of it.

After pondering the situation for a moment, he sent out a text before going inside Mandy’s sick room.

A few disciples of Longmen’s Law Enforcement were seen inside the room. They were in charge of Mandy’s safety.

They respectfully welcomed Harvey inside since they knew who he was.

Harvey casually handed a check to Lilian Yates even before she could stand up, then proceeded to walk toward Mandy.

Mandy was almost fully recovered. Other than a few bruises on her face, no other injuries could be seen on her elsewhere.

She would be able to regain control of the Hearthstone Corporation in a few days.

“You’ve been here for the past few days. You must be bored.”

Harvey fed the woman before him some food while showing a warm smile.

Mandy, who was staring outside the window, glanced back at Harvey.

“It’s okay. I just feel like I’m starting to get rusty after lying in bed all day.

“It’s good that Xynthia’s a quick learner. I’m not too worried about it.

“I’ll just give her a few pointers on the phone every now and then.

Mandy looked to the side, revealing the exquisite curve on her neck while showing an anxious expression on her face.

“But she’s still inexperienced. She might unintentionally offend someone in the business.”

Harvey smiled.

“She’s a vivacious kid. Her battle is still in the entertainment circle. You’ll be back in business sooner or later.

“If she did offend someone, you’ll be there to clean up her mess anyway.”

Mandy’s face turned bright red after hearing Harvey’s words.

She felt that Harvey was more relaxed after their divorce.

She intentionally showed a smug look on her face.

“You’re making me feel gross talking about this early in the morning!

“I don’t feel like eating anymore.”

Harvey merely smiled.

“But you have to! Come. Let me feed you.”

Harvey opened the package and scooped up a mouthful of food.

Mandy shyly smiled before taking a bite.

It was a rare scene for the two to have some time alone. All of the food was finished while they were happily chatting with each other.

Knock knock knock!

Someone was knocking on the door from the other side.

A disciple from Longmen’s Law Enforcement said a few words before sending in a slender doctor.

Harvey squinted at the doctor when he smelled a faint fragrance on her.

The doctor utterly ignored Harvey and asked, “Is the patient’s family here yet? Make sure to pay the fees at the counter, or we’ll have to stop administering the medicine.”

Harvey immediately stood up.

“Right. I’ll get to it now…”

Harvey left the room soon after.

The doctor showed a cold gaze as soon as he left.
