Harvey looked at Axel as if he was looking at a complete idiot. He sighed. 

“Do you think I’m as dumb as you? Why would I even do something so obvious in the first place?” he said. 

“All I did was get another card with the money inside.” 

“I already gave Zoe the card when we met inside the restaurant.” 

“I wrote the password when I was holding her hand, too.” 

“All she needed to do was to check on her phone to see the money inside.” 

“You people said that you wanted to give me this and that, but what happened? All you have are empty promises.” 

“I was different; I gave her money she’d never be able to make her entire life.” 

“Tell me, don’t you think she’d be moved after having so much money in her hands?” 

Axel sighed. 

“I’d be moved too…” 

“So-called loyalty only happens when the price to betray isn’t met yet,” Harvey said calmly. 

“Not only did I give her the money, I promised to give her half of the Martial Hall’s shares as well.” 

“It’d be surprising if she didn’t come to me.” 

“She can enjoy the rest of her life in glory and riches by selling out you people! How easy is that?” 

Axel remained silent for a long while before sighing. 

“It’s a lot of money, but I don’t think she’d betray us just for that.” 

“She knows the consequences of doing such a thing, after all.” 

Harvey smiled. 

“Zoe told me that too.” 

“That’s why I decided to get rid of her troubles first.” 

“Speaking of which, I have to thank you for your little tricks; you poisoned the young talents while also forcing me out of the fight for a good few days.” 

“Because of that, I had quite a bit of time for myself.”
