Chapter 5299
Ten o’clock in the morning.
With Harvey York and Kade Bolton’s lead, they came to an antique stone gambling site.
The place was renovated into a stadium that could hold thousands of people.
Taller and taller balconies could be seen all over the place.
The stadium was divided into three sections.
Two sections were filled with stones everywhere, but only a few people walked around. The places were completely desolate, to say the least.
The remaining part of the stadium had workers placing stones along with their respective price tags.
This was clearly where the third batch was going.
Many people were gathered here while happily chatting in high spirits.
For the people well-versed in the scene, only specific types of gems could grab their attention.
Harvey and the others came to the VIP area, and they looked in front.
A group of people in traditional clothing stood not far away from them.
They were all standing with serious looks.
The woman in the middle was wearing a purple dress with a beautiful expression, as if she were a fairy only seen on TV.
A lot of men were sizing her up while they constantly gulped.
But after seeing the people around the woman, they fearfully looked away.
A calm scent of fragrant herbs wafted in the air.
“That’s Kora, right?”
Harvey curiously glanced at the woman.
“That’s right.”
Arlet was about to break her own tooth, gritting after seeing the woman.
No matter how beautiful she was, she was still an enemy of the Pagan family for making them suffer this much.
“She’s not an expert martial artist.
Harvey squinted while looking at her wrist.
“But then, the people behind her are.
“All those experts being this respectful towards such a powerless woman…
“Interesting.”
Arlet pouted.
“Don’t be hilarious, Harvey.
“What if you sacrifice yourself and seduce her instead? Stop her from going against the family.”
Kade was ecstatic after hearing those words.
“I’m a lot better when it comes to things like this.
“Should I just go get her number then?”
Harvey rolled his eyes.
“If my guess is right…
“Out of the ten men behind Kora, at least nine deeply admire her.
“If you’re going to ask for a number, you might as well hang yourself on a noose.
“Don’t blame me for what happens next if you decide to go.”
Kade instinctively shivered.
The woman was a rose, but leaving the ones with thorns alone was better.
If not, only a horrible death would come to those who got careless.
The third batch of stones was mostly done being placed around.
The spectators cheered loudly when they saw the sight.
Kora smiled heavenly before casually pointing at twelve stones.
When Kora pointed at the stones, Harvey could see that sweat was starting to form on her forehead, and her face was a little pale.
“Geomancy arts? Energy detection?”
Harvey was lost in thought.
