Chapter 5699
After all, the dizzy pill incident had been shaking up the entire outskirts recently.
If Harvey were blamed for this, not only would the inspectors be renowned for solving the case… Harvey would be taken out as well.
No matter how powerful he was, no matter how strong of a background he had, he’d be trapped in a hopeless situation.
The inspector quickly calmed himself down.
He fearlessly tore the tape off his ID and burned it with a lighter, then glared coldly at Harvey.
“It doesn’t matter if you’re a suspect or not! You’re coming with us regardless!
“If not, we can shoot you down in the name of the law!
“It doesn’t matter if you’re the holder of a Black Card, or an important guest of the Surrey family! The law will always prevail!”
He waved his hand before speaking up again.
“Go!”
“How dare you?!” Aria exclaimed.
Wildcat came out of the car with a cold expression as well.
However, Harvey shook his head calmly.
“It’s fine. I’ll go with them. You should head back first, Ms. Aria.
I’ll handle this myself.”
If Harvey went against the police in front of the public, he’d be the one to suffer. Since they’ve reached this point, so what if he had to visit the police station?
The inspectors looked at each other; their plan to retrieve Harvey’s fingerprints failed. They couldn’t find an excuse to gun him down, either.
All the documents about him said that he was just an ordinary student, but why was he still so hard to take care of?
Harvey shrugged before getting into the police car, ignoring the inspectors.
“Take him away!”
The inspector waved his hand, his face darkening. He had no choice but to take Harvey away because of his other mission.
Aria showed a horrible look when looking at Harvey’s back, before sighing in the back of the Maybach.
When the car started to move again, she could feel something warm in the crack of the seat. She froze.
She quickly came to her senses, and squeezed the object back into the crack without saying a word.
“Does anyone else use the car other than my grandfather?” she asked, her eyes closed.
Wildcat didn’t know why Aria would ask such a thing.
“No,” he replied, shaking his head.
“No wonder. The car has a bad smell. Don’t use this car after this.
I’ll get someone to get rid of the smell.”
Aria smiled.
“Consider this an act of kindness for my grandfather.”
Wildcat nodded, despite not knowing why Aria would say something like this.
“About Sir York…” he said, frowning.
Aria sighed.
“That’s not something we can deal with ourselves. I’ll have to report everything to Grandfather. He’ll deal with it as soon as possible.”
Wildcat stopped asking questions; Aria was right. Other than Lennon, nobody else could deal with the situation.
After all, since Stefan had already taken action, the higher-ups were already involved–whether Harvey actually committed a crime, or not.
