“Young Master!”

When Amos was reading his book again, Elaine quickly approached him. She set down a cup of tea beside Amos before speaking up.

“It’s arranged, Young Master! The hospital sent word! Emil’s dead! It’s done neatly, too!

“The injuries on him were caused by Rainstorm Needles.

Longmen’s outskirts branch is the only force that could acquire those weapons publicly!”

There were other hidden sources who could get their hands on the weapon, but that wouldn’t be enough to serve as proof.

Amos’s hand twitched lightly, and he revealed a surprised gaze. “You’re sure he’s dead? He died to the Rainstorm Needles?”

“I’m sure!”

Elaine nodded. “Don’t forget! We have people of our own in the hospital as well! Not only did the forensic experts confirm that, the medical staff did too! Here are the pictures.”

Elaine pulled out a picture on her phone.

Amos took a few glances before nodding inwardly.

“He should be dead. Henrik would never lose his cool if Emil didn’t die. And if he doesn’t lose his cool, he wouldn’t be a good ally!”

He thought about the situation for a moment.

“How did the Americans react?”

Elaine smiled.

“Henrik didn’t say anything about the situation, but the Mutants were all screaming about taking revenge. A few of them even showed their Mutant forms out of agitation.

“I suspect that without the police forcing them down, they would’ve gone straight to Longmen’s outskirts branch by now.

“After all, the proof already showed that Longmen was behind all this. They want to keep themselves out of the situation? Keep dreaming!”

Amos squinted for a long time.

“Make sure that traces of our doing are completely erased.

Not only should we be instigating everything, but we want both sides to bury the hatchet too.

“If we need to, I can get everyone together as well. As long as they show me their respect, I’ll handle the rest.”

Elaine froze. “Aren’t we supposed to make them fight each other? Why are we mediating now?”

“We do want them to fight…” Amos said.

“We’re using Henrik to deal with everyone who interferes with the Smalt Sect’s plans.

“But we can’t just make it that obvious now, can we? Putting up a good show would be good for us. Besides, we need to make sure that Harvey stays alive no matter what.

“Selling him a favor at the most crucial moment would be the best-case scenario.”

Elaine nodded, but she still didn’t understand.

“Harvey’s a great talent,” Amos continued.

“However, he’d only be useful if we control him. It’d be impossible because he’s an expert martial artist, though.

“But if we can completely cripple him until he can only lay on the bed for the rest of his life…

“When that happens, so what if I keep him for myself as a consultant?”
