He leaned on the couch while squinting at the horizon, a calm look on his face.

“Thanks for standing up for me.” Queenie poured a cup of tea and handed it to Harvey. “If it weren’t for you, I would’ve suffered quite a bit.”

“I’m only helping you so you can do things legitimately.”

“After all, it’s only a few days before the birthday banquet.” Queenie smiled as well before pouring herself a cup of tea. Curiosity colored her face.
