Harvey kept Jordan in the back of his head after seeing the two walk out.
“You‘re fine now,” Harvey said after taking a step forward.
Mandy nodded lightly; she didn‘t think that she would be released without a scratch after three days.
She could only imagine the things Harvey did just for her to get out safely.
“Thank you, Harvey.”
Mandy let out a sigh of relief. Her eyes fell on Rachel, who was standing not far away from her.
“This is…”
“Let me introduce you. This is the executive CEO of the Hearthstone Corporation, Miss Rachel Hardy.”
Harvey showed a warm smile.
“As of right now, she has seventy percent of the company‘s shares.”
“Simply put, she has total control over Flutwell‘s gold mine.”
Mandy was shocked to hear Harvey‘s introduction . She
didn‘t expect Rachel to be a talented woman as well.
Lilian, who had not said a single word for the longest time, froze. Then, she tugged Harvey‘s shirt.
“You‘re saying that this woman has seventy percent of the company‘s shares?!”
“What about my share?!”
“Does she have it too?!”
“You should know that the shares were never yours to begin with,” Harvey replied calmly.
“You think you have the right to take those shares when you‘re completely talentless?”
“If she didn‘t have the shares to begin with, she wouldn‘t have earned control of the company and bail the two of you out.”
“You‘d have to spend the rest of your lives behind bars.”
Harvey pointed out the important fact without bothering to explain the details.
He knew full well that Lilian was an unreasonable woman.
She would lash out if Harvey said that the shares were all under his name.
Thus, Harvey decided to tell a white lie to spare everyone‘s ears.
Lilian chuckled coldly before Harvey was even done talking
“I knew it, Harvey! I was wondering why you were so kind as to bail us out!”
“You‘ve been after my shares the entire time!”
“And then, you handed my shares away just like that!”
“You bastard!”
“I‘ll kill you!”
Xynthia, who was invisible to this group of people, finally spoke up.
“Enough, Mother!”
“If it weren‘t for Brother–In–Law‘s help…”
“You would‘ve been stuck behind bars for the rest of your life!”
“Plus, the shares weren‘t yours to begin with!” “You‘ve been staying in jail for so many days because of this!”
“Why are you still thinking about it even now?!”
“Wake up! You‘ll never have those shares!”
“Shut up!”
Lilian finally saw Xynthia‘s face. She was about to slap Xynthia in the face, but Harvey stood in front of Xynthia.
“You ungrateful daughter! Do you think Harvey‘s family?! Have you been brainwashed just because he saved you a bunch of times?”
“Let me tell you something!”
“You have to give me all of the damn money you make as an actress!”
“How dare you speak up against me for an outsider! Are you still my daughter or not?!”
“Am I still your damn mother?!”
Lilian‘s unrelenting fierceness made Xynthia‘s eyes twitch.
However, she managed to keep her back straight despite her mother‘s scathing screeches.
“Brother–In–Law did so much for us! I won‘t let you treat him this way!”
