Nobuyuki yelled, and the paper dolls landed right on Lola’s body.

The paper dolls ignited themselves, as if they were trying to remove the cold air from her. The moment the cold air dissipated, the entire room felt normal once again.

Gian, whose legs were bandaged, peeked inside and entered the room. When he saw Nobuyuki’s haughty expression, and that the cold air had been dealt with, he was filled with excitement.

Gian then fiercely glared at Harvey. Saul would have to pay a huge price for his broken legs if he could prove that Nobuyuki was useful.

Nobuyuki ignored Gian’s praises; he took a deep breath before pulling out a bronze mirror.

Before he could finish his actions, the paper dolls were instantly reduced to ashes. The cold air appeared again!

Gian’s expression changed. “Get me out! Get me out of here!”

Harvey squinted at Nobuyuki.

“What are you saying? Are you really scared of such a small trick?”

Harvey took a step forward, then bit his finger and let the blood drip.

“Small trick?” Gian stumbled back, disdainful. “Keep pretending! You’ll turn into an ice sculpture soon enough!

You’ll die horribly, I’m sure!”

“Yeah! What can you even do here if Mr. Nobuyuki can’t handle it?!

“Get out of here already! Stop embarrassing yourself!

“You think you’re impressive just because Mr. Saul acknowledges you?! You damn people-pleaser!”

The women accompanying Gian, whose legs were bandaged, screamed disdainfully at Harvey. They hated him the most. To witness his embarrassing moment, they decided to ignore their pain to show up instead.

Before they were finished with their scathing comments, Harvey approached Lola and observed her forehead. He let a drop of his blood fall on it.

A white talisman behind Lola’s head fell to the ground. It was instantly reduced to ashes. The cold air dissipated immediately after that, and the entire place was warm again.

The crowd was shocked.

Saul removed his jacket before charging in. He saw the layer of ice covering Lola slowly dissipating.

Nobuyuki revealed his surprise as well, but quickly composed himself. He stumbled off the ground, and scoffed.

“As expected of the best geomancy expert in the city. You have some skill…” he said scathingly.
