Even if there are side effects after that, it’s fine.”

Maren pointed at the lymph with a laser pointer.

“It’s not that I don’t want to, Young Master Westley. The risk is just far too great.

“Look here. The lymph is growing in between your brain and cerebellum.

“Traditional methods might hurt your brain. You might turn into a vegetable for the rest of your life, or the lower half of your body might stop working completely. You won’t be able to take care of yourself if that’s the case.

“Invasive surgery might be quite troublesome as well.

Because the cerebellar lobes wrapped around your brain and cerebellum, nobody can know if the surgery would cause side effects after that.

Maren let out a sigh.

“I suggest that you take medicine for your situation instead of surgery.”

“But what if there’s no medicine to deal with the situation?”

Westley asked.

Maren appeared confused, but she retained her professional stance as a medical practitioner.

“If that’s the case, surgery’s our only option. However, the risk is simply too great.”

Westley thought about the situation while tapping on the table. “What’s the percentage of success if we go with the surgery?”

“Thirty percent,” Maren replied. “Of course, we might have forty percent if we manage to get Senior Armstrong to help.”

Westley frowned deeply. “What if we delay the lymph from growing with anesthetics?”

Maren thought about the situation.

“That’d be easy, but drug resistance will take effect after a while.

“I predict that it’d be effective for three to five years, but you’d still be in horrible pain if the lymph still isn’t removed after that.

“There is another side effect of using anesthetics for such a long period of time. Would you be able to accept it?”

“I’d accept anything at this point,” Westley replied coldly.

“I don’t know about that.” Maren’s face turned slightly redder. “Because of anesthetics, you wouldn’t be able to function down there in the future. I’m not sure if you care about that.”

Westley’s face darkened instantly. He’d rather lose his experience as a martial artist than a man’s pride.

“Of course, there’s one other possibility,” Maren said, realizing something.

“I don’t know who managed to see the lymph in your head…

But the person who did can probably turn you back to normal.”

Westley’s eyes twitched. He clenched his fist for a moment. ”

Are you serious?”

“I’m not entirely sure, but I’m more than confident.

Compared to the doctors here, that person would have a way better chance at healing you,” Maren replied firmly.

“Right.” Westley gritted his teeth. “Thank you for your help. I know what to do now.”

He clapped, then two of his subordinates showed up.

“Get Sir York here! Remember, do whatever it takes!

“Ask him to come talk to me, no matter what demands he has!

“I’ll consider anything…”
