A crisp slap echoed in the air.

Harvey managed to make contact with Keegan’s face first.

Keegan’s body flew midair before slamming into the marble wall.

A huge crack in the shape of his body was formed in the wall, and he slowly slid down.

After Cameron left, Kairi frowned. “Let’s not talk about Westley for now. Don’t you think that Blaine’s being a little weird?”

“How so?” Harvey asked.

“He knows exactly what you’re capable of. Why would he think that Keegan could do anything to you?

“No matter how impressive Keegan is, he’s still not a God of War.

There’s still a huge distance between him and that, after all.

Sometimes, that distance is what seals the deal.”

“There are two possibilities,” Harvey said.

Harvey swayed his finger around.

“Number one: Blaine’s just trying to test my attitude and bottom line since he’s getting desperate.

“More importantly, he wants Emery to see his loyalty.

“That was why he spent a great deal of effort to get Keegan.

“If things went smoothly, he’d be owed a huge favor.

“But if not, it’d be enough for him to say that he did everything he could, especially when Keegan had failed.

Harvey sipped his tea.

“He tested the waters with Keegan, someone who he didn’t have much connection with, so he wouldn’t expose too much of himself.

“He could also use the opportunity to make the Lloyd family go against me. Three birds with one stone, I’d say.

Kairi narrowed her eyes. “Are we sure that Blaine’s working together with Evermore now?”
