The stock market opened up once again in the afternoon. 

Harvey didn’t leave the Bauer family’s courtyard just yet; he showed Flutwell’s business alliance’s stocks right at the entrance through a projector. 

Clearly, Harvey was planning to get into the family’s heads. 

After seeing that, the families who thought badly of Joseph walked right into the courtyard. 

They were all trying to cause trouble for Flutwell’s business alliance anyway; it would be a waste if they didn’t take whatever they wanted inside. 

While the furious battle of the stock market was ongoing, Mandy, who was inside Hearthstone Corporation, suddenly heard her phone ringing incessantly. 

She wasn’t planning to pick up the call, but she had no other choice after seeing the name on the screen. 

She let out a sigh. 

“I told you not to trade more stocks!” 

“Why won’t you just listen to me for once?!” 

“Not only did you put all your life savings in Flutwell’s business alliance, you’re even buying on margin?” 

“You only leveraged less than one-third of the total capital, but you’ll be forced to close your position if the stocks keep falling off!” 

“Not only will your money go down the drain, but you’ll owe the bank thousands of dollars!” 

“Fine! I’ll send you some money to cover your losses! Make sure you sell all of the stocks after that!” 

Mandy felt extremely anxious after hanging up; after pondering the situation for a moment, she called Lilian again. 

“Forget it! Just tell me where you are. I’ll do it for you!” 

“Don’t worry! I’ll make sure you don’t lose as much money.” 

“I’ll be right there!” 

Mandy stood up and swiftly went outside with a few of Harvey’s bodyguards in tow. 

She knew exactly how greedy her mother was. 

She believed her mother would be in danger if she didn’t handle the situation herself. Most probably, Lilian would dig herself into a hole she wouldn’t be able to get out of. 

Soon, Mandy’s Maybach entered the expressway to a villa area in the suburbs. 

At the same time, inside a luxurious villa… 

Dozens of powerful men in suits were scattered all around the room. 

Lilian was sitting on a couch inside the hall after she put down her phone. She grabbed a stock contract from Ruby in front of her before kissing the paper excitedly. 

“I did everything you said, Ms. Murray.” 

“This money’s all mine now, right?” 

“Of course.” 

Ruby, who was clad in a gown, showed a faint smile. 

“If you don’t believe us, you can see if the contract’s real or not just by making a phone call.” 

“Of course I’ll believe you! Young Master Bauer himself gave this to me. There’s no way this is fake!” 

“He’s not that bastard Harvey anyway! He’s a true young master of a top-rated family, and my dear son-in-law!”

Lilian revealed a joyful look before looking for an excuse to head to the restroom. 

She was beaming with joy when she got out; her eyes were barely visible from how tightly closed they were. 

“Right! Why did you want my daughter to come, by the way? Is Young Master Bauer planning to propose to her? Is he giving her a surprise?” 

Having made sure that the money was real, Lilian started thinking about the situation.
