“Propose?” 

Ruby froze; even she couldn’t comprehend just how stupid Lilian actually was. 

But for the sake of the plan, she remained calm and collected. 

“Mrs. Yates, of course Young Master Bauer will propose to CEO Zimmer. But not today, and not right now.” 

“We wanted you to call her here to ask for her help…” 

“What kind of help?” 

Lilian was confused. 

“Your dear son-in-law is causing Young Master Bauer trouble right now.” 

“Young Master Bauer is extremely unhappy. We hope your daughter can convince Harvey to stop.” 

“This will do no good to anyone involved, after all!” 

There was something Ruby didn’t say: even if Mandy couldn’t help, they would still use her to distract Harvey anyway. 

Everything had to be done before the end of the stock market that afternoon. If not, it would all be for naught. 

“That bastard’s causing trouble for Young Master Bauer?!” 

Lilian instantly raised her voice.

Fifteen minutes later, Mandy’s Maybach appeared at the villa’s entrance. 

Before she stepped out of her car, she frowned; she had a feeling that someone seemed a little odd in this place. 

After sending Harvey a quick text, she gave the bodyguards her orders. 

“You people come with me. The two of you stay inside the car. Don’t turn off the car. Make sure you can drive out of here at any moment.” 

Naturally, Mandy had become a lot more careful after experiencing so much; she was no longer the innocent young woman she once was. 

The car quickly turned around, prepared to leave whenever possible. 

Mandy and the others pushed the door open and headed into the villa. 

“How much of Flutwell’s business alliance’s stocks did you even buy, Mo…?” 

Mandy immediately stopped talking. Her footsteps came to a halt. 

She could clearly see Ruby grinning while sitting in front of Lilian. 

Around them were also many men in suits wielding knives and firearms with silencers on. 

The men immediately stopped in front of Mandy and her guards, preventing them from taking another step. 

“Ruby Murray?” 

“Joseph’s secretary?” 

Mandy frowned immediately. 

“You’re shameless! How dare you threaten my mother to come here?!” 

Ruby calmly smiled. 

“You must be joking, CEO Zimmer.” 

“We respect Mrs. Yates very much. Not only did we not do such a thing, but we even gave her a stock contract worth a hundred and fifty million dollars.” 

“In fact, she asked you here on her own accord.” 

“She has something to talk to you about.” 

“This is between you two. Us outsiders are just acting as witnesses.” 

“No need to panic.” 

Ruby’s men had no intention to step aside even though her words seemed sweet and 

gentle; they were all showing mocking grins when they looked at Mandy and her guards.
